BBQ
LAMONTAGNE GALLERY IS PLEASED TO PRESENT OUR SUMMER BBQ SERIES.
Every Wednesday in June through July 16th of the summer from 6 -
8:30 pm on the backside of the gallery.
Each week will feature a different host (consisting of artists,
writers, musicians,
patrons, curators, and maybe Russell's brother, Big Mike) and a
theme of their choosing.
Creating a communal experience of sharing food and ideas every week
this summer
we attempt to strip down art elitism through a casual social art
gathering.
This is an opportunity for folks to restore the basic need to connect,
share, meet, discuss, and
knock down social barriers of inclusion and exclusion associated
with the art world, through hot dogs.

you remember those lazy, hazy days of summer?
No school, no work, no worries, man! Let's revisit the good ol dog
days of summer,
and take some time to CHILL and GRILL. Enjoy grilled vegetarian
delectables and freshly
caught fish served alongside a selection of refreshing iced drinks.
Let's kick it like we did when were 12 years old, and maybe even
an ice cream truck
will stop by!

Sending out a call for recipes for an iconic Boston BBQ, in the
form of an email, a scan, a photograph, etc to a selected group
of artists; Gitlen and Willenbring will create a casual, relaxed
summer atmosphere. By bringing people together the old fashioned
way with food and drinks but also with our collaborative efforts
and ideas. Recipes, and contributors to date...

BRATWURST + SAUER GESPRITZTE = WUNDERBAR
Suzannah Sinclair
returns to Boston (Massart Alum) for one night only to pay homage
to her birthplace (Frankfurt, Germany);
where she kicked off her summer opening a solo exhibition at Voges
+ Partner Galerie."Frankfurt may not be as cool as Berlin,
but is an amazing and beautiful place with warm and friendly people
who are living the good life. Summer in Germany is all about sitting
outside in beer gardens or backyards and having yummy fresh food
and refreshing drinks. Frankfurt is known for Apple wine and cider
and the official drink of summer is Sauer Gespritzte, a sour cider
spritzer....delicious."
Sinclair has recently been featured on the cover of New American
Paintings (OSP Press), and exhibited at Samson Projects (Boston,
MA), Second Street Gallery, (Charlottesville, VA) and featured at
VOLTA 04 (New York) with an upcoming solo exhibition at LOYAL GALLERY,
SWEDEN.

more the FM stations wish you could forget! This ain't no DJ, no
hits, this is straight shooting through whole albums! The way the
gods of rock intended them to be heard!
